Solicitudes y renovaciones de DACA

El programa denominado “Acción Diferida para los Llegados en la Infancia” (DACA), es un programa que fue implementado por el presidente Barack Obama para proteger de la deportación a los niños que llegaron a Estados Unidos (con o sin sus padres), como inmigrantes indocumentados. Este programa caduca cada dos años y debe renovarse. A partir de hoy, el Servicio de Ciudadanía e Inmigración de los Estados Unidos (USCIS) NO acepta nuevas solicitudes. Sin embargo, USCIS ESTÁ aceptando renovaciones para aquellos a quienes anteriormente se les otorgó este beneficio.

¿Quién es elegible para solicitar la renovación?

Según USCIS, si tenía DACA y expiró el 5 de septiembre de 2016 o después, es elegible para renovar.

Si mi solicitud de Daca es denegada, ¿seré deportado?

La respuesta corta es: No. Su información no se comparte con ICE ni con la Oficina de Aduanas y Protección Fronteriza de EE. UU. para fines de deportación. Tenga en cuenta que USCIS no acepta solicitudes, así que tenga cuidado con las estafas de inmigración.
